Meet Big Six Towers Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial well-being and overall management of the Cooperative. It also functions as the chief intermediary between New York City's Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), NYC Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Metro Management Development, Inc. and the Shareholders of Big Six Towers.
The Board consists of nine members. Each member can serve two 3-year terms. Elections are held annually. A cooperator is required to be a shareholder of Big Six Towers and must live in Big Six at least one year.
Shareholders who are interested in becoming a Director should submit their résumés to the Board. Copies of the résumés are then sent to all shareholders and a “meet the Candidate” night is scheduled in September. A ballot is mailed to all shareholders; one per apartment with the candidates listed. Shareholders can mail their selections to the balloting company, submit the ballot online or submit the ballot in person at the Annual Shareholder's Meeting held in October.
