On December 31, 2022, at approximately 0120 hours, an unoccupied 2014 Black Honda Accord hybrid began to develop a heavy smoke condition. This condition emanated from underneath the hood of the vehicle (driver’s side). The smoke then developed into flames within seconds.
FDNY was contacted, extinguished the flames, and determined the proximate cause was electric/battery related.
